Diagnosis
Trunk oval, robust, completely segmented, lateral processes almost touching; proboscis with broad base, tapering to narrow tubular mouth with tiny lips; scapes 1-segmented, chelae normal, linear fingers plain; palps absent; ovigers 10-segmented, in both sexes, with 5th segment apophysis, weak strigilis, denticulate spines, with terminal claw; legs typical, propodus with strong heel, & spines, without auxiliary claws.
