Introduction
Stylaster colonies branch in a single plane with fine, tapered and delicate tips. Gastropores are linked by individual cyclosystems and surrounded by dactylopores. These alternate on the sides of branches, in a zig-zag fashion. Reproductive ampullae occur on the sides of older branches (Cairns, 2011).
