Tribe Stereomerini
Introduction
The highly modified genera of Stereomerini are thought to be termitophilous. They exhibit a disjunct distribution:Termitaxis Krikken is found in the Neotropical Region, while the genera Australoxenella Howden & Storey, Bruneixenus Howden & Storey and Stereomera Arrow are from the Australasian-Oriental Regions (Krikken 1970; Howden & Storey 1992).
