Collingwood : CSIRO Publishing Vol. 4 xiv 529 pp. & CD-ROM. [289] (Note #273: Squamipalpis pantoea (Turner, Dec. 1908). The holotype male has a swelling on the antennal flagellum beyond the middle. In New Guinea S. pantoea (Turner) occurs together with another species superficially identical except the swelling is absent. The male specimen of S. unilineata Bethune-Baker, June 1908 labelled 'Type' in the BMNH from New Guinea is, according to W.W. Brandt (unpublished manuscript in ANIC), lacking antennae but otherwise similar to S. pantoea (Turner). Until both types are dissected the synonymy of these names cannot be resolved)
