Sphaerodorum sphaerulifer Moore, 1911 by original designation.
Introduction
In their revision of the family Sphaerodopsidae, Capa and Bakken (2015: 262) described an unnamed species (as Sphaerodoropsis sp.) from Western Australia, based on a single specimen. More recently, another unnamed species of Sphaerodoropsis was reported from a pilot whale carcass off Byron Bay, New South Wales, by Georgieva et al. (2023).
