Sinelloides dubius Bonet, F. 1942. Notas sinonimicas sobre el orden Collembolos. Ciencia (Mexico) 3: 56-59 [58] [erected for specimens identified as Pseudosinella marteli (Carpenter, 1897) by Womersley, H. 1934. A preliminary account of the Collembola-Arthropleona of Australia. Part II Superfamily Entomobryoidea.. Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia 58: 86–138 and Womersley, H. 1939. Primitive Insects of South Australia. Silverfish, springtails and their allies. Adelaide : Frank Trigg, Government Printer 322 pp. 1 pl.; the three slides with individuals of this species in the SAMA collection are in very poor condition and the mucro of only one of them can be seen; these specimens may correctly belong in Pseudosinella Schäffer, 1897 where Womersley originally placed them; the Australian Pseudosinella are under revision and if Sinelloides dubius Bonet is transferred to Pseudosinella, a replacement name for Pseudosinella dubia Christiansen, 1960 will be necessary].
