Paralaoma (Semilaoma) abjecta Iredale, 1944 by original designation.
Introduction
The combination of minute size, depressedly trochoidal shape and pale colour serves to differentiate Semilaoma from mainland Paralaoma, Iotula and Pseudiotula.

Diagnosis
Shell minute, depressedly trochoidal with sub-angulate whorls; protoconch large, spirally lirate, teleoconch sculpture of irregular, closely spaced radial ribs and fine spiral lirae; umbilicus minute to almost closed. Colour resinous pale yellow.
