Subfamily Saprininae
Introduction
Lackner & Leschen (2017) published a comprehensive review of the subfamily in the Australopacific Region. Lackner et al. (2023) presented a phylogenetic hypothesis for Saprininae and proposed a new classification, erecting five new tribes within the subfamily. Four of these tribes have members recorded from Australia with the fifth (Eremosaprinini) restriced to the Americas.
