Pectinidia Holloway, 1977 was the genus erected for the Norfolk Island species P. silvicola Holloway, 1977. The type species of Artigisa Walker, [1863] is A. nigrosignata Walker, [1863] from Borneo and the male is unknown. It is possible that the Australian species placed in Artigisa Walker do not belong there. Holloway (1977) compared Pectinidia silvicola Holloway with Artigisa impropria (Walker, 1865). Had he examined Artigisa lignicolaria (Walker, 1866) or Sandava scitisignata Walker he may have placed P. silvicola Holloway in one of these genera. It may well be that the Australian species placed in Artigisa and Pectinidia silvicola Holloway would all be better considered as species of Sandava Walker)
