Sabera dobboe dobboe (Plötz, 1885)

Hesperia dobboe Plötz, C. 1885. Neue Hesperiden des Indischen Archipels und Ost-Africa's aus der Collection des Herrn H. Ribbe in Blasewitz-Dresden, gesammelt von den Herren: C. Ribbe auf Celebes, Java und den Aru-Inseln; Künstler auf Malacca (Perak); Kühn auf West-Guinea (Jekar); Menger auf Ceylon. Berliner Entomologische Zeitschrift 29(2): 225–232 [227] [correction of incorrect original spelling as dobboë; the diacritic mark over the e is not the German umlaut therefore it is replaced by an e not ee (Art. 32(d), ICZN 1985)].
Type data: type status and whereabouts unknown *; Plötz in the original description did not indicate the number of specimens described; Evans, W.H. 1949. A Catalogue of the Hesperiidae from Europe, Asia and Australia in the British Museum (Natural History). London : British Museum xix 502 pp. 53 pls [424] (gave type specimen information); Parsons, M.J. 1998. The Butterflies of Papua New Guinea; their systematics and biology. San Diego : Academic Press 736 pp. [169] (referred to a holotype without justification and this is not accepted as a lectotype designation because Parsons knew of no type specimen).
Type locality: Aru Ils, Indonesia (designated in original description).
