Tissue cyst-forming coccidia;, heteroxenous (two-host) life-cycles (‘predator-prey’); gamogony and oocyst formation in gut of definitive host (‘predator’); oocysts with two sporocysts, each sporocyst with four sporozoites; merogony in tissues of intermediate host (‘prey’ animal).
