Holotype ANIC ♂ adult, Burnie, TAS.
Paratype(s) ANIC 39♂ 18♀ adults (♀13♂ not found, the original types series was found to comprise Rotundopteryx satchelli (Duckhouse,1966), Rotundopteryx coracina (Duckhouse, 1966) and possibly other species. Rotundopteryx intricatoria (Tonnoir, 1953) was found to be restricted to Tasmania and South Australia. See Duckhouse, D.A. 1966.
