Hemitrygon fluviorum (as Dasyatis fluviorum) was listed as vulnerable by the IUCN in 2003.

Repulse Bay, QLD (20°30'S) to Narooma, NSW (ca. 36º10´S); records from NT and New Guinea apparently misidentifications; tropical

Australian Endemic.
