- Houbrick, R.S. 1978. The family Cerithiidae in the Indo-Pacific. Part I. The genera Rhinoclavis, Pseudovertagus and Clavocerithium. Monographs of Marine Mollusca 1: 1-130 (Houbrick (1978) listed three lots of this species from southern Queensland, followed by Wilson (1993), but the Australian Museum, after 100 years of collecting in Queensland, has no specimens from there. Queensland has been removed from the distribution map here, as its presence there is extremely unlikely)
