Introduction
The genus appears to be sub-Saharan Africa in origin and introduced elsewhere in the Indo-West Pacific. Differs from the unicoloured Amimopina by having a white shell with spiral colour bands.

Extra Distribution Information
Southeast to northeast QLD (introduced); distribution discontinuous in Queensland. Elsewhere sub-Saharan Africa to SE Asia, Indo-West Pacific region and NE Australia. Extralimitally the species occurs in the Loyalty Ils, New Caledonia and possibly Madagascar.

Diagnosis
Shell medium-sized, conical with rounded whorls, thin, smooth, porcelain-like and opaque. Colour cream, yellow or pink with solid or broken spiral bands of black, reddish-brown and bluish-grey, apex dark bluish-grey.
