[81] [one of two originally nominated syntypes (NMV photos 10/9–13) (not AM Z666); this specimen figured by Lendenfeld was also re-described and re-illustrated by Hallmann, E.F. 1914. A revision of the monaxonid species described as new in Lendenfeld's ‘Catalogue of the sponges in the Australian Museum’. Part 3. [216] [in part only; erroneous description, composite species; not Clathriodendron jacksoniana, Clathriodendron hirsuta or Clathriodendron nigra microspina, but sensu Hallmann, 1912].
