Family RAMSAYELLIDAE Luxton, 1985

Introduction

The family Ramsayellidae includes a single genus and five species (Schatz et al. 2011), all from the Ethiopean, Oriental and Australasian Regions. Further study may show that Ramsayellidae is a junior synonym of Mycobatidae (Norton & Behan-Pelletier 2009). The family is known from Australia only on the basis of a single specimen of an unidentified species of Ramsayellus, as reported by Lee (1986) and Colloff & Halliday (1998).
