Randomly dispersed, seasonal breeder, arboreal fruit-eater in mid and upper stages of lower altitude subtropical rainforest to about 800 m altitude, rather solitary, rests, roosts and nests in trees, wanders widely or locally to seasonal food sources with some northward dispersal in winter months and southward in summer.
