Coastal NE QLD, north to Cooktown and Helenvale, inland to Windsor and Atherton tablelands, and south to Paluma Range-Mt Elliot, with outliers south in Clarke Range-Repulse Bay region and (?erratically) to Shoalwater Bay—also Dunk and Hinchinbrook Ils and, erratically, Green and smaller islands in Hinchinbrook group, QLD.

Ecological Descriptors

Arboreal, closed forest, diurnal, frugivorous, nomadic, resident, volant.

Extra Ecological Information

Randomly dispersed, opportunistic breeder/seasonal breeder, arboreal fruit-eater in mid and upper stages of tropical and subtropical rainforest to 1000 m altitude, rather solitary, rests, roosts and nests in trees, wanders rather widely or locally to seasonal food sources.
