Introduction
Burbidge et al. (2017) presented evidence for treating Psophodes nigrogularis and four constituent subspecies as two separate species, each with two subspecies; P. nigrogularis in the west (WA only, including P. n. nigrogularis & P. n. oberon) and P. leucogaster in the east (e SA & VIC, P. l. leucogaster & P. l. lashmari). This is the arrangement we follow here.
