Diagnosis

Frontal rostrum with apex angulate to truncate, apex with deep narrow notch filled with squamous setae; maxillary palpi with second and fourth segments quite long, each nearly as long as head, fourth segments with margins of V-shaped sensory areas at apices indistinct, not marked by sharp carinae. Pronotum lacking antebasal sulcus, with small median antebasal fovea, lateral antebasal foveae even smaller to apparently lacking; bulbous gula longitudinally tumid.
