Syntype(s) BMNH Rh10876 1♂, Australia (designated in original description; no more accurate locality has been suggested); OUM sex unknown (the specimen listed by Doubleday in the Saunders collection should be in OUM)
Comment: Doubleday in the original description indicated that specimens were in three collections; Waterhouse, G.A. 1936. [unpublished personal manuscript of observations made at the BMNH (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Danainae)]. Photocopy located at ANIC, Canberra, ACT. 29 pp. [6] (mentioned a specimen labelled as type in BMNH and gave its sex and accession number); Gray, G.R. 1856. List of the Specimens of Lepidopterous Insects in the Collection of the British Museum. Part 1. Papilionidae.
