• Papilio leosthenes geimbia Tindale, N.B. 1927. A new butterfly of the genus Papilio from Arnhem Land. Records of the South Australian Museum (Adelaide) 3(3): 339-341 fig. 106 [339].

  Type data:

   Holotype SAMA I14867 ♂ (Tindale in the original description referred to a type), Alligator River, NT (designated in original description; this probably refers to the East Alligator River or the South Alligator River).
  Paratype(s) AWMM 1♀, Alligator River, NT
  Comment: Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea. In Wells, A. & Houston, W.W.K. Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Vol. 31.6. Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. it is not clear from the original description how many paratypes are in SAMA and in AWMM.
