Diagnosis

Proboscis cylindrical; chelifore scape 1-segmented, chelae normal, denticulate; palp 2-segmented, in c/1 only, non-functional; ovigers 10-segmented, in both sexes, 5th segment apophysis in weak strigilis with denticulate spines, without terminal claw; legs typical, tarsus short, propodus sometimes with larger crenulate heel spines, auxiliaries absent. Cement gland openings 5-22 short ventral ducts in femur & sometimes extend to tibiae 1 and 2.
