• Priscabdella Richardson, L.R. 1973. A new genus, Priscabdella, for aquatic jawed sangivorous leeches from Flinders Island, north-east Tasmania, and southern South Australia (Hirudinoidea: Richardsonianidae). Records of the Queen Victoria Museum, Launceston 47: 1-18.

  Type species:

   Priscabdella hickmani Richardson, 1973 by original designation.

Diagnosis

Median dorsal stripe darker than paired dorsal stripes, inner and outer paired dorsal stripes very wide and separated by a thin yellow stripe, salivary gland papillae on jaws, segment XXV four-annulate, vaginal caecum enlarged, length and width about equal to the width of the vagina.
