Subfamily Polystomoidinae Yamaguti, 1963

Introduction

Members of the subfamily Polystomoidinae are characterised as having a haptor with three pairs of suckers, with or without haptoral anchors. Intestinal crura without diverticula, not united posteriorly. Testis single. Uterus not extending back to ovary. Vagina present.

Polystomoidines are parasites of turtles (Yamaguti 1963).
