Invertebrate Taxonomy 10: 1199-1302 [143] (Note #245: Pollanisms empyrea (Meyrick, 1888) and P. amethystina (Meyrick, 1888) [were] treated as synonyms following an examination of the holotype and syntypes. They represent colour variations of the same species: the bluish P. amethystina (Meyrick) is a rare variant of the bronze-coppery P. empyrea (Meyrick). The two names were published simultaneously. Priority [was] given to P. empyrea (Meyrick) by Tarman (1996: 143) as first reviser)
