Diagnosis
Pachastrellidae whose megascleres are calthrops and/or shortshafted triaenes scattered through the whole choanosome. Microscleres consist of microxeas, always in a single size category, and several streptaster types, always including small spirasters and large plesiasters (transitional to metasters or amphiasters) with scarce, long actines.
