Introduction

Mąkol (2000) listed Podothrombium tubbi Womersley, 1942 as a species incertae sedis. Mąkol (2007) did not mention this species at all, but showed that the genus Podothrombium does not occur in Australia. Mąkol & Wohltmann (2012) considered it unlikely that this species is correctly placed in Podothrombium. The presence of the family and genus in Australia must therefore be considered as unconfirmed, until the correct placement of this species can be determined.
