Diagnosis

Carapace subhexagonal; dorsal surface flattened, not convex, regions moderately well defined by broad ridges and grooves; frontal margin bilobate; anterolateral margins armed with broad, triangular, blunt to pointed teeth, second and third being largest and most prominent. Chelipeds large, similar; fingertips typically crossing; fixed finger typically bent downwards. Ambulatory legs moderately flattened. Male abdomen with seven free segments. Male first gonopod with spatulate tip; second gonopod straight, about half length of first gonopod.
