Holotype whereabouts unknown, Aola, Guadalcanal [Isatabu], Solomon Islands.
Introduction
Nominate subspecies P. i. imperialis recorded from Solomon Islands and Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, with a fourth subspecies P. i. dealbata Holloway 1979, from New Caledonia. See Sands (2012) for details.
