'Amérique méridionale'; 'Indes orientales': 'Pôle Sud' ('Astrolabe' and 'Zélée'); 'La Bonite'; 'La Coquille'; and 'L'Uranie et Physicienne'. Annals and Magazine of Natural History 7 7: 388–392 (390) give the publication date of the text as 1853, but do not mention the Atlas containing 25 colour plates; Musgrave, A. 1932. Bibliography of Australian Entomology 1775–1930 with biographical notes on authors and collectors. Sydney : R. Zool. Soc. N.S.W. viii 380 pp. gives the publication date of the text as 1853 and the Atlas as 1842–1853. We here follow the date given on the title page of the "Atlas Zoologique", namely 1846].
