Type data: lectotype BMNH *; Grose-Smith & Kirby in the original description indicated that they had several specimens; described from specimens in the Grose-Smith collection and the Hewitson collection; Parsons, M.J. 1998. The Butterflies of Papua New Guinea; their systematics and biology. San Diego : Academic Press 736 pp. [365] (type information).
