Notes

The name Phascolosoma was incorrectly usd to replace Golfingia for 70 years (1880-1950). During this time the names Physcosoma and Phymosoma were used to replace Phascolosoma. In 1950, Fisher re-established the correct usage of these names, but the non-specialist literature continued using the incorrect names for another 30 years up to 1980.
