Taxonomic Decision for Synonymy

Introduction

Ashman et al. (2022) revealed two distinct clades in Rhytiphora, one mainly restricted to Australia's tropical north and the other containing species tending towards arid and mesic environments. Within the two clades all former genera except Achriotypa Pascoe, 1875 are paraphyletic.
