Species Penthaleus tectus Halliday, 2005
Introduction
The existence of cryptic species of Penthaelus in Australia was suspected before P. tectus was described. Robinson & Hoffmann (2001) and Umina et al. (2004) used the term Penthaleus "species x" to refer to the species that was later described as Penthaleus tectus.
