Known from a variety of habitats from montane to subalpine wetlands, in sods of wet grasslands (composed of Poa gunnii Vickery [Poaceae], Agropyron pectinatum (Labill.) P.Beauv. [Poaceae], Lycopodium fastigatum R. Br. [Lycopodiaceae], Leucopogon hookeri Sond. [Epacridaceae], Hakea microcarpa R.Br. [Proteaceae], Cladonia Hill ex. P.Browne [Cladoniaceae] and mosses), taken between 420 and 1350 m.
