Genus Parexogone Mesnil & Caullery, 1918

Paedophylax hebes Webster & Benedict, 1884 by original designation.
Introduction
Parexogone was raised from subgenus to genus by Böggemann & Westheide (2004) due to differences from Exogone in heterogomph falcigers and supra-acicular simple chaetae and a different reproductive mode (females carry progeny ventrally with some species viviparous - See Aguado & San Martín (2008))
