  Comment: Boisduval in the original description mentioned two localities.

Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) Entomology 15: 1-156 pls 1-3 [32] (considered that the type specimens came from QLD, and that the specimen labelled 'Nouvelle-Irlande' was wrongly labelled; concluded that specimens from New Ireland and New Britain were a separate subspecies and named the New Ireland subspecies Pantoporia consimilis novahibernica Eliot, 1969).
• Rahinda consimilis pedia Fruhstorfer, H. 1908. Versuch einer monographischen Revision der Indo-Australischen Neptiden. Stettiner Entomologische Zeitung 69: 240-412 3 pls [410].

  Comment: Fruhstorfer in the original description stated that he had three males and two females; Eliot, J.N. 1969. An analysis of the Eurasian and Australian Neptini (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae).
