Distribution

Extra Distribution Information

Known in Australia only from a single specimen collected at Taylor Range, Brisbane, QLD, by F.P. Dodd and not seen since. The species is a pest of palm trees in the Pacific Islands, Indonesia and New Guinea. The most likely explanation for the Australian record are either it represents an early accidental introduction that has since died out, or the known specimen has been mislabelled.

Ecological Descriptors

Larval foodplant: Cocos nucifera, Coconut Palm (Arecaceae).
