Introduction
The family Pseudotriakidae contains three genera and five species known from scattered localities in the Atlantic, western Pacific and western Indian Ocean (Compagno et al. 2005), with two species in two genera in Australia (Last & Stevens 2009). The false catsharks are ovoviviparous and found near the bottom on the continental shelf and continental slope. Compagno et al. (2005) and Compagno (1984, 1998) treated the species. Maximum size is 3 m.
