Introduction
The family Pseudocarchariidae comprises a single genus and species, Pseudocarcharias kamoharai, known as the crocodile shark (Compagno 1998, 2001). The shark is found worldwide in tropical regions in epipelagic and mesopelagic habitats. It is generally poorly known, with few records from Australia (Last & Stevens 1994, 2009). The species reaches a size of 1.1 m.
