  Type data:

   Holotype NMV T.3487 ♂ (Couchman in the original description designated a holotype, which was originally in the F.E. Wilson collection, now in NMV), Nimmitabel, about 3500 ft, NSW (designated in original description; the appearance of specimens indicated that they came from east of Nimmitabel, towards Brown Mtn; populations to the west of Nimmitabel are much paler in colour).
