Species Oligonychus punicae (Hirst, 1926)

Introduction
The presence of Oligonychus punicae (Hirst, 1926) in Australia must be regared as unconfirmed, since it is based only on the provisional identification by Davis, (1968), and it has not been reported since that time (Halliday, 2000). Beard (2018) reviewed the taxonomic uncertainty surrounding this species, and repeated that there are no confirmed records of O. punicae from Australia.
