Species Oligonychus ilicis (McGregor, 1917)

Introduction
Knihinicki (1999) and Knihinicki et al. (1999) reported that the southern red mite Oligonychus ilicis had been found in a small area of north-western Sydney. Control measures were undertaken and it appears that the species was successfully eradicated (Anonymous, 2012). Beard (2018) described the occurrence of this species in Australia as unconfirmed.
