Family OZOBRANCHIDAE Pinto, 1921
Introduction
The Ozobranchidae is a cosmopolitan family of freshwater and marine leeches commonly found attached to amphibians, reptiles or fish. These sanguiviourous leeches feed by using a protrusible proboscis. Members of this family typically have digitiform branchae along the margins of the body.
