Diagnosis
Cylindrical sponges supplied with a narrow and deep atrial cavity. Ectosomal spicules are smooth dichotriaenes; desmas are dicranoclones with 2–4 clones. Outer surface of the choanosomal skeleton has numerous simple pores leading to straight canals. Microscleres consist of two types of spirasters, with short blunt and long pointed rays.
