Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia 102: 97–105 includes ZMB 9705 (one Neobatrachus pictus and one Notaden melanoscaphus) as part of syntype series, but ZMB records are equivocal on this point), Loos, 4.5 km W Gawler, SA (as Buchsfelde).Type locality references:
