   Asterias ocellifera Lamarck, 1816 by monotypy (lapsus calami, as Asterias oculifera; the validity of the type species is in doubt and requires a ruling by the ICZN according to (Zeidler, W. & Rowe, F.W.E., 1986) [118]).
