Genus Nassa Röding, 1798
- Nassa Röding, P.F. 1798. Museum Boltenianum sive Catalogus cimeliorum e tribus regnis naturae quae olim collegerat Joa. Hamburg : Trappii 199 pp. [Date published September 1798] [132] [Dall, 1909, United States Geological Survey Professional Paper, 59: 50, selected Buccinum sertum "Lamarck" [sic! = Bruguière] as type species, but this was not an originally included species. Nassa picta is a substitute name for Buccinum coronatum Gmelin, 1791; = Buccinum sertum Bruguière].

[128] [three species were included in the genus on page 129, published September 1853, but Iopas sertum was the only one included on page 128, issued August 1853. Jopas [F.C. Baker, 1895, Bulletin of the Chicago Academy of the Chicago Academy of Sciences, 2(2): 185] is an incorrect subsequent spelling].
